‘Trouble’ is the new single from queer duo ARXX. The Brighton-based duo have developed a seriously unique sound that takes influences from big, powerful electronic music and blends it with a huge, polished pop-punk sound and subtle experimentalism. They lean heavily into the electronic sound on this release, with thick bass synths touring the bottom of the texture, guiding us toward the anthemic chorus. “This song felt like the most instinctive thing I’ve ever written,” the band explain. “The palette we chose is meant to feel very affecting and visceral because we wanted the song to actually feel the changes, as well as telling the story.” You can listen to the second album from ARXX, Good Boy, when it drops on October 4th, 2024 via Submarine Cat. -Dan Peeke
